| These cold decorative techniques are all executed with the use of a grinding wheel in the moleria. An inciso decor generally consists of vertical thin incisions executed on the surface of the glass. A decoration of deeper and wider wheel carving used on metal to imitate the martelé is called battuto. When the same wheel carving is applied in a lighter and softer way to give the glass a satin finish it is called velato. | ||||||
